Hit Gamestop and Wal-Mart yesterday after work because I had a severe desire to play Civilization again. Since nothing beats Ghandi threating my country with nukes.
Problem was neither store had any form of Civilization available. Wal-Mart did, however, have a $10 Age of Empires Gold, Age of Empires II, and Age of Empires expansion pack that I wound up getting.
Started through AoE I's Egyptian tutorial last night before heading up here to John's. While it is enjoyable, I can't help but feel like I'm playing World of Civilization. Seriously. I felt like I was playing Warcraft, only with my little Nubians harvesting gazelles instead of gold.
I'll probably just get Civ III next payday from Amazon, since I'm more fond of turn based strategy. That and I want to get back to my Civ strategy of not being warlike until I get my nukes. Piss me off in the stone age, and I'll nuke you back to it later, Ghandi.
