Why not split the difference and say West Coast or North Carolina were you aren't that far from either? Although truthfully, I'd rather live in the foothills than near an ocean. Or in Pittsburgh, where you get both mountains AND running water.

Was actually contemplating it before I moved to MO. I like the pitt. It's got a rust belt funk to it that really appealed to me when I last visited.

Would just require the same amount of crap any move does, like housing and employment. Which that latter is kind of the sticking point right now, given how many people I know are looking for work and not really succeeding.

Yanno, Pittsburgh is really growing on me. I've been here 5 years now and this is the first year I haven't dreamed about moving somewhere else. I have to say I'm pretty happy living here right now. It's not the prettiest or cleanest city, which bugs me a lot...along with all the hills, other than that I think it's great!

Oh yeah, Pittsburgh is known for awesome pizza...we've got a lot of Italians here.

And that spot would have been somewhere in Mt. Washington probably. :)

I think You're right about Mount Washington. We were by some kind of elevator/cable car that went down the cliff.

And Pittsburgh has awesome food. Plus I could get my smily face cookie at Eat & Park.
