Actually, I think Tulsa's just a bit worse. I think Oral robert's revolving Prayer tower and 3.2% beer trumps MO's claims to being the home of the assemblies of God.
I know there's a large pagan/wiccan population down here, but given the biggest open coven is called Green Leaf and devoted to marajuana, I don't get involved;)
I don't remember. But I think we do have several branches of Baptists.
Plus, in an event I might have to take a Sunday off for, Holy Trinity is doing the Latin Mass again the second Sunday of every month. I may not have been raised Catholic or have any real understanding of the belief system, but I do love Latin.
And I will say not all Baptists are that bad, it really depends on how closely they follow one of the founding doctrines of the faith.."The Priesthood of the Believer."
Yes, yes they are. and the National Org is the one who violates that precept of Baptist faith the most. (did some research a while back. Seems in theory, each individual Baptist is supposed to form his/her own theology based on what they read in the Bible. Then the congregation. anything higher up is supposed to be mainly for coordinating mission work, not make policy statements that violate the autonomy of both the congregation and the individual member. which you can judge for yourself how that's working.)

But I was also referring to the fact several mainstream religions have their headquarters down there. Or at least they did the last time I checked!
