You need an FTP client. I use FTP Explorer, I think it's the easiest to use. Just type in the server name, login ID, and password and boom...you're in.
Get something like CuteFTP or MSFTP great client programs for sending stuff across the internet and to Webservers .... First of all you need the ISP or Hosting Companies info for the account you have set up ... Username / Password etc like someone else said... Then as long as you are connected you should be able to upload or download.... if you want to do webpage design ... software like Dreamweaver already has an FTP client built in ...
Oh the fun of it all...Dave said I should be able to type the ftp addy into Internet Exploiter, but I havn't had much luck with this. I'm probably gonna just have to drag Dave up here to help me out.
Hmm, I wonder if the windows ftp client uses the same commands as the Unix one. you should be able to cd to change directories, ls or dir to list files, and get to get files, or mget for multiple files.
