This is so weird.....my holiday was spent very much like yours....I wonder if our families are related?
Not only was the bird dry, but the onions in the dressing were huge chunks, the gravy was some kind of powdered kind that had not been stirred well, the mashed potatoes were instant and very shitty tasting and the cookies were burned. The only reason I even celebrated with the family was for a good meal, but it looks like the joke was on me.
