Oh yeah...

I solicited questions in honor of National Question Month.
uoggb asked: "If you could choose any musical instrument (just one) that you would be proficient at, what would that be and why?"
I answered bassoon because it makes a beautiful noise and is fun to play.
He revised the question to be an instrument I have NOT played.
So, my new answer would be Bass Guitar.
I love bass lines. Many moons ago when I tried my hand at composing, I mainly worked with bass lines for a stringed double bass and a light drum beat to go with a jazz number for a musical I was helping to write. Bass guitar is similar to me. I've been told by others the easiest way to learn to play Bass is to dig out a Joy division album and play along.
Really though, I just love bass lines and bass clef. Much like Limbo, I tend to think music should involve "How low can you go?"
