Thank freaking Thor...
Mar. 13th, 2002 08:15 amOhio has decided (more or less) that Intelligent Design will not become part of the Science standards.
For those of you not informed of this stupidity, The American Family Association created this big "scentific" think tank to request that "intelligent design" be taught instead of or beside Evolution. While most of this saw this as yet another attempt to stick Xtianity in classrooms where it DOES NOT belong, they were trying to pass it off as meaning anything from God to Extra-terrestrials.
I know I went to a podunk little farm school, but we got a week of "Intelligent Design" theory in Geology class, thanks to our lovely pedophilic Geology teacher, Mr. Detwiler. That man gave me the creeps. As near as I can tell, the theory relies more on disproving evolution than it does offering evidence to the contrary. Whatever.
Anyway, I'm moving to freakin' Canada, because at least they don't have a hillbilly running the gov't.
Jesus, save me from your followers.
