Let's put this in a nice summation of how I feel about that question. All my life I've given and given and given of myself for everyone else around me and EVERYONE on this planet in general. And not once did anyone ever think of how *I* might feel about things or what *I* needed. Now I give to ME.....

Ayn Rand (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayn_rand), author of The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. Most of her philosophy focused on the virtues of selfishness.
